Scholarship Application

Sharma Law Associates, LLC is proud to offer an annual scholarship opportunity designed to support students pursuing a career in law or a related field. Scholarship Overview
One scholarship award of $1,000 will be granted to assist with tuition, academic fees, and other related educational expenses. Applicants are responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant IRS and state tax regulations. Details regarding the application process and award timeline are provided below.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Provide proof of acceptance into an accredited undergraduate program in pre-law or a related field, or proof of acceptance and enrollment in an accredited U.S. law school for the Fall 2025 semester.

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the undergraduate level.

Application Requirements

All applications must be submitted by August 1, 2025, and must include the following documents:

  • A current and complete resume.

  • A 500–1,000-word essay, typed and single-spaced in 12-point font, discussing a topic related to your intended area of legal practice.

  • Official transcripts:

    • High school transcripts for incoming college freshmen.

    • College transcripts for all other applicants.

  • An official acceptance letter from an accredited U.S. college or law school.

  • Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, or permanent resident card).

Award Details

  • The scholarship award will be issued as a $1,000 check payable directly to the recipient.

  • Funds may be used for tuition, books, supplies, and other education-related living expenses.

  • Recipients must comply with federal and state tax laws and may be required to submit documentation of how the funds were used.

  • Scholarship winners will be notified by email and/or phone in August 2025, with the award being disbursed in September 2025.

  • Selected recipients must consent to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes and provide a short video acceptance message for marketing.

All application materials must be submitted via email in PDF format by August 1, 2025.
